Xbox Live is taking the gaming world by storm and bringing gamers together for the sake of competition on a wider scale then ever before possible. We spoke with Andre Vrignaud, Director of Technical Strategy for Xbox Live, about the success of Xbox Live and its future development beyond what we have seen so far.
Can you give us a quick list of what is coming in 2003 to Xbox LIVE™? (both 1st and 3rd party)
Andre V: Well, starting this spring we'll see Return to Castle Wolfenstein and Midtown Madness 3. Midtown is one of my personal favorites currently - it will, of course, be a Xbox Live title, and allow you to race through Paris and Washington DC against your friends in a variety of modes and vehicles. Moving into the Fall we'll have Halo 2 and Project Gotham Racing 2 - you'll be seeing some really cool new online features that you haven't seen before out of these guys… can't say anything more, but just hang in there and you'll be well-rewarded. Counter-Strike is shaping up quite nicely, too - I think this one is going to be a lot of fun. 'll also be talking some more this year about the first Rare titles, and I think you'll be very pleasantly surprised there - though I can't really say anything more about them at this point.
