[list:5a583ad7d5]Namco has announced a new batch of details regarding its upcoming PlayStation 2 RPG Xenosaga Episode II: Jenseits von Gut und Boese (Beyond Good and Evil). The Monolith Soft-developed sequel will not only feature the return of Albedo, but also his mech Simeon. Just like previously revealed mechs, Simeon is an E.S. series model powered by an Anima Relic. Furthermore, Episode II will extensively deal with the past of the three remaining U.R.T.Vs, Jr., Gaignun Kukai and Albedo Piazzola. Since his early childhood, the latter had been easily frightened and shy. One day however, Albedo was toying around with a gun and ended up shooting himself to show off his unique regenerative ability to Jr. and the others. A not very impressed Jr. was still able to beat Albedo, who in turn started to harbor feelings of uneasiness, terror and alienation from the other U.R.T.Vs. From this very day on, when he learned he could not die, Albedo slowly but surely started to drift towards madness. Inside the Encephelon, which played a dual role as treatment for Sakura Mizrahi and a training facility for the U.R.T.Vs, Jr. and Sakura met for the first time. After feeling attracted to Sakura, the two made a certain promise. And while years have passed since then, Jr might still be sticking to this very promise.
Namco has revealed a fresh round of information tidbits regarding its PlayStation 2 sequel Xenosaga Episode II: Jenseits von Gut und Boese (Beyond Good and Evil). The game will feature the reunion of Chaos and Shion's brother Jin, who first met on Miltia 14 years ago. Chaos is accompanying Shion, who visits her brother at their family's home on Second Miltia. During their conversation, Jin remarks that it feels as if Chaos has been living for several hundred years longer than he himself. The main means of transportation in Episode II will again be the spaceship Elsa. The cargo ship, which is manned by Captain Mathews, Tony and Hammer, now features a significantly redesigned layout, making the craft much larger than it used to be in Episode I. Among other facilities it also hosts the Robot Academy. Players will also be able to visit a familiar location from Episode I, the re-built Kukai Foundation. Following the Gnosis attack, its residents have quickly rebuilt their city, hence players can look forward to revisiting familiar places like the Ironman and take a look at new locations like the Fishing Lab.
Xenosaga Episode II: Jenseits von Gut und Boese will be available in Japan on June 24th for 6,980 yen ($66.78 US). The game's limited edition Premium Box will carry a price tag of 17,800 yen ($170.29 US). [/list:u:5a583ad7d5]
