Sources close to Nvidia tell the INQUIRER that the graphics firm has told its partners that the GeForce FX is likely to be discontinued, with the firm instead concentrating on the NV35 platform. The sources said that the firm has made the move because of an update that its bitter rival ATI is expected to soon roll out of the door. Nvidia could not be contacted for confirmation at press time, but earlier this week a PR representative said that he "could not comment" on the previous reports.

Fonti vicine ad nVidia hanno rivelato ad Inquirer che la casa produttrice di schede grafiche ha detto ai suoi partner che la GeForce FX verra' probabilmente discontinuata, per concentrarsi sull'NV35. Le stesse fonti dichiarano che nVidia ha agito in questa maniera a causa degli aggiornamenti che la sua rivale ATI si prepara a immettere sul mercato (N.R.: leggi R350 --> Radeon 9900). Non e' stato possibile contattare nVidia per una conferma, ma precedentemente un rappresentante per le pubbliche relazioni della casa ha detto che non poteva commentare le notizie precedenti (N.R.: le notizie precedenti dicevano piu' o meno la stessa cosa).
